The Big Red House

The Brotherhood had to move as 523 Fletcher St. was being taken by eminent domain and turned into a parking lot for St. Joseph’s Hospital; which has since been torn down.

The move to 9 Mt. Hope St took most of the spring of 77. The first class in this house was the Summer of 1977 Curt Quinn, Nick Vadala Clayton Dyette and Rick Martin. The small scrime class had to be hidden in the new house; as alum from around the area streamed in for the funeral of the old House.

9 MT. Hope St, originally the home of the Head of the Woolen & Worsted Yarns at the Lowell Textile School has become “The House” for 42 years and counting. The longest tenure in any location over our history.

In addition to the traditional fraternity stuff, this property has had a lot of sweat and effort put into it. See some of the work here.
